Nancy Glazier
Nancy Glazier describes
painting as “the very breath of my life.” Her paintings of North American
wildlife reveal her deep connection to the
animals
she paints. Elk, deer, moose, bear, cougar, coyote, fox, and birds from
osprey to pine come to life on her canvas. She is one of the country’s
most well known and respected wildlife artists.
Glazier loves to paint
horses - anywhere, anytime. She loves the spirit of the wild horse and
loves painting them into the most dramatic scenes she can imagine. Each
horse seems to have his or her own distinct personality. And each scene is
remembered for something special in it. Sometimes that is the dramatic
back-lighting, and sometimes it is the wind playing with the horses' manes
or tails. Nancy painted this piece shortly after moving to Nevada where
she particularly appreciates the warm, beautiful colors of the desert that
surrounds her home and town.
