Born and raised in Colorado
Springs, Colorado, Scott Kennedy got an early start in the art
world. His mother was an artist, and she began teaching him about
line, color, and perspective when he was three. His mother's
artistic training, and frequent camping and hiking trips with his
father, resulted in Scott becoming an exciting wilderness artist.
He and his wife, Becky, were
married the year before he graduated from Colorado State
University. He attributes much of his success in those early
years to the support and encouragement of Becky and his parents.
Today Scott Kennedy's art is
collected across the United States and in thirteen countries
around the world. About his art, Scott says, "I want to touch the
hearts of my viewers. When I'm out fishing or hiking, I slow
down. I become more aware of God... I want to share this focus,
to give people who may work indoors all day a breath of fresh
air."
Scott and Becky Kennedy live
in Colorado with their children. When not in the studio, Scott
can be found in the wilderness of Colorado, Canada, or the
northwestern United States.
